We’ve released SC-Py 1.0.6, a critical compatibility update for Sierra Chart version 2897 and above. If you’ve already updated Sierra Chart to 2897, you’ll need to update SC-Py immediately to keep your integrations working.

Download SC-Py 1.0.6 here:

After downloading, complete these two steps:

1. Install the updated Python library by running:
   pip install trade29.scpy.1.0.6.tar.gz
2. Replace SC-dX.dll in your Sierra Chart “Data” folder with the new version included in the download.

If everything went smoothly, you should see:

• Python library version: 1.0.6
• SC-dX version: 217

Will this break my code?

• Updating from 1.0.5? No changes needed — 1.0.6 is a drop-in upgrade.
• Updating from an older version? There may be code changes required depending on how far back you’re coming from. Reply to this email and we’ll help you work through it.

If you haven’t yet updated Sierra Chart to 2891, no immediate action is required — but we recommend updating SC-Py to 1.0.6 at the same time when you do.
